Idaho companies spark patent fever | Business | Idaho Statesman: "'The biggest issue for a small company is that it's unbelievably expensive,' said Streeter, who still runs his company with his wife, Julie, out of their home. 'The cost itself is daunting, but so is the length of time it takes.' Streeter said he has to make choices about which innovations should be patented. He's also stopped using a patent attorney, opting instead for a patent agent, who is less expensive."
