This course is designed to introduce participants to the general concepts and issues relevant to protection of intellectual property rights (patents, trade-marks, etc) in health product industries.
The course is of particular value to people with current various responsibilities in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and natural health product industries or employees whose new line of work would require knowledge of IP rights.

Distinguished Faculty
Bojana Tadic, Ph.D.
has devoted number of years to working as a researcher in the area of molecular genetics. Translating the knowledge and experience gained over the years, she moved on to work in the domain of regulatory affairs within pharmaceutical industry and Canadian Health Food Association. She successfully managed numerous project and hands-on activities associated with protection of IP rights during developmental and post-approval stages in both pharmaceuticals and natural health products (patents, trade-marks, implementation of legislation changes, disclosure of clinical research and review information, ATIs, trade secrets). Bojana has prepared, coordinated and lectured on various scientific topics at international and domestic training courses. She is currently working as a consultant for natural health product industry.
